Farm D'Azur

We are an agtech specialized in the production of plants using sea water.

The Problem

WATER SCARCITY AND DESERTIFICATION

It is estimated that 97.5% of the water in the world is salty and is not suitable for direct consumption, nor for irrigating crops.

Of the 2.5% of fresh water, most of it (69%) is difficult to access, as it is concentrated in glaciers, 30% is groundwater (stored in aquifers) and only 1% is found in rivers.

Desertification it is a process originated by human intervention.

Among the main causes are: overgrazing, soil depletion due to the intensive and unsustainable use of water resources and inadequate management in agriculture.

The Problem

POPULATION GROWTH AND FOOD SECURITY

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), global population growth means that food production will need to increase by 70% by 2050.

The UN points out that the worsening of world hunger was accelerated by the pandemic and war in Ukraine.

Which deepened the food crisis; other forms of food insecurity affect 29.3% of the world's population.

Our solution is a major breakthrough when it comes to global food supply.

Because they are capable of being cultivated in desert/arid regions, our plants take moisture back to depleted lands and do not salinate the soil, and in this way help to restore the natural ecosystem of the region and its respective biodiversity.

Our plants are non-GMO, we do not use fertilizers or pesticides and only using sea water for irrigation.

Our Plants Are:

SALT WATER RESISTANT

Our crops can be grown without the use of freshwater.

ORGANICS

Pesticides and fertilizers free.
A safer and more cost effective approach.

NON-GMO

Our technology does not require genetic modification.

Our Solution Promotes:

FOOD SECURITY

A highly nutritious and valuable food resource to communities in dire need.

ECOSYSTEMS  RESTORATION

Restores and conserves biodiversity by promoting ideal conditions for thehabitat of plant and animals life.

CARBON  CAPTURE

Restored farm lands capture and store CO2, helping to mitigate climate change.
